General Information

Located within the Greendell Park Community Centre is a welcoming, safe, warm and an educational preschool for children aged 3 and 4 years. Greendell Tiny Tots Nursery School offers children ½ day sessions 2 or 3 days per week. The program focuses on education, imaginative and creative play, physical, emotional and social development of all children in the program. The program is licensed annually and run by a board of director which consist of parent volunteers. The program has two Early Childhood Educators on site.

Philosophy

Greendell Tiny Tots Nursery Schools philosophy is to provide the children with every opportunity to learn and develop skills and behaviours that are acceptable and appropriate to the child’s developmental capabilities in an environment that is stimulating, safe, informative and comfortable.

Class 1: Age Group – 4 year olds

Class 2: Age Group – 3 year olds

9:15–11:30am

Class 3: Age Group – 3 & 4 year olds *

Daily Schedule | 4-Year Old Program

	9:00–9:25am	Arrival/children meet in circle area with books, good morning song, attendance, weather, show & tell

	9:25–10:10am	Free play and activities set up for children to participate, games

	10:10–10:15am	Clean up time

	10:15–10:30am	Group art activity

	10:30–10:45am	Circle time based on themes, stories, songs, theme-related information, games, music, puppets, creative drama, flannel stories

	10:45–11:00am	Snack time
	11:00-11:30am	Gym, outside, quiet story time, prepare for home, farewell song

		* 6 field trips are planned throughout the year
