The Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association's (WMBA) main program offered is its Community Club Basketball league. The fall/winter league is open to boys and girls age 5-18 and runs from October to March. The spring session runs from April to June and is for ages 8-18. Games occur on weekends with players 11 and under playing on Saturday and players 12 and over playing on Sunday. There is a minimum of one practice during the week but more may be scheduled with the nights determined by availability and the coach’s preference.
The WMBA is a city wide league so teams will be playing all around the city. We are always looking for coaches, assistant coaches, managers etc. so please let us know at registration is you are willing to help out.
Teams are formed based on the number of participants. If not enough players’ register for a team, they may be transferred to another community centre.

The leagues and/or age groups may be divided or combined into city districts and or multi age groups depending on registration numbers. You can contact the basketball convenor or the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association for additional details as they relate to a specific age group.
Boys Saturday – ages 8 to 11

Boys Sunday – ages 12 to 18
Girls Sunday – ages 12 to 18
The Rising Stars league represents an opportunity for independent, high level boys and girls teams to organize and compete against one another. Please see www.wmba.ca for details.

Rising Stars – Major Atom, Bantam Boys 1, Bantam Boys 2, Bantam Girls, Midget Boys, Midget Girls, Juvenile Boys Celtics, Juvenile Boys Spurs, Juvenile Girls.
